Not too much of a car but this is my first proper car,
  • Information/Specs
  • 3.8 v6 ecotec engine
  • Aftermarket Extractors (makes the exhaust note sound nice too)
  • Has a maloo kit all around i believe
  • Short shifter with heavy duty clutch
  • Vy manual transmission gearbox
  • Wooden floor for tray
  • Limited slip differential
  • Back seats removed for a kenwood sub woofer and speakers install, with amp behind passenger seat
  • SS nolathane cold air instake with a k&n air filter(which i removed the air filter for now)
    [*Strut brace on the front
I do not know the complete list of mods for the car as i am not the one who did them to the car, however i know a couple and keep finding more over time. Keep in mind i bought the car for $1500 with roadworthy.
The guy who owned the car before me switched all his statesman stuff into the vs ute because he crashed it, so a bit of money went into this car at some point.
Gearbox according to my dad has two arms connecting to the shifter i believe, so the shifter is positioned a bit more forwards.
The pictures are a bit dated and there is a reason for that. Around 3-4 months ago the car was involved in an accident resulting in it tboning another car. Whole front of the car was smashed, aftermarket fenders, bonnet and bumper were all smashed to bits being what they were made of, no damage to any running gear in the car, mainly all body and a little frame. So that was that, we decided to take the time to fix the car because i didn't want to switch out cars. So we cut off the whole front from the wheel arches forwards and straightened everything up, we then cut the front of another vs at a wrecker to fit on mine. We fit all that and replaced everything that needed replacing like the bonnet, bumper, fenders, radiator was replaced, aircon, etc. Surprisingly the car actually still runs really good. Looks a little weird with the white front but we make do i guess. Still have the bonnet scoop incase i respray at some point. And yes the car has some problems, its a commodore, its expected. Need to look at the throwout bearing, stereo leads were a mess, one of the exhausts is smashed in from my dad backing into a curb (soon to be fixed), rubber bushing between the drivetrain the gearbox has worn and is now basicly non existent but thats getting replaced in a day. But for a first car i believe its pretty good. Just thought i should post it up here because i got a little bored and wanted to just tell people about my first car and get advice or questions. Pics are all down below, before the accident and after. At some point i may sell it but right now im enjoying it alot.
