VS V6 thermo fan into VR. Plug is different.

I want to put a VS V6 thermo fan into a VR that has an Ecotec fitted. This vehicle still has the VR wiring loom.
VS thermo fan has 4 wires and VR has only 2 wires. Need the VS shroud so the power steer reservoir can be fitted correctly and no cable tied in.
Also looks like the VR fan motor cannot be fitted the the VS shroud with some modifications.

Can I just use 2 wires off the VS fan or is there another suggestion on mounting the power steer reservoir correctly ??
