VE Series 2 boot lid onto Series 1

Hey guys, I'm looking at putting a VE series 2 boot lid from a Calais/Equipe (with the chrome garnish above the number plate) onto my series 1 SS. I like the small built in lip on the boot lid of the series 2's, but would like to avoid the alternative aftermarket senator style or factory optional boot lip spoilers.

Does anyone know if the series 2 boots have the same dimensions as the series 1 (i.e. would it be a direct fit)? Or did Holden make some changes to the design that would make this impossible? I've done some research but can't seem to find an answer. Any help is appreciated!
