I have had the LS1 out of the car for about 8 months now, and it hasn't had a battery in it for that long either.
When I put the key in and try to start it nothing happens other than a fix ticking noises from relays.
I have checked for power to the starter relay and it would seem to be getting no power from the dash at all. I bridged out pins 87 and 30 on the starter relay and the motor turned over.
Could this all be related to a flat battery in the key?
