VE 2007 Senator lots of issues

Hi I need some advice, I have an LS2 VE 2007 Senator, today my oil temp hit almost 130 degrees C, I drove around 5km at this temp to my Mechanics, it did seem to stabilize at this temperature though, I've literally just got home after parking it out from of his shop. It normally runs at 110 degrees C I assume I have a problem to say the least, I did not drive far probably 20km all up the temp starting rising on the way back from a customers house about 10km from my office & back. I'm confused as the engine temperate gauge was not hotter then normal. Gear changes appeared to be sticky but that may have been my imagination. I drove a similar distance 5 days ago and this did not happen. How hot is too hot for the oil before the engine goes bang?

A bit of background on my car, I run Evans coolant (I'm sure plenty of members are familiar with this product) I have cam upgrade and my car runs both petrol and gas with a JTG liquid injection kit. Note I was not running gas today, I go through both combined tanks every 5 weeks, I get 2 weeks from the LPG and around 3 for petrol, I haven't run gas for 3 weeks, I've recently had the gas serviced and no issues with how it runs. For anyone interested Liquid LPG injection gives you more power as the gas is injected as a liquid which then vaporizes which cools the air giving a cooler air/fuel mixture hence more power unlike gas injection. Prior to the new cam I was getting 360hp atw on petrol and 380 on gas, after the cam it went to 380hp atw on petrol so I assume its around 400hp on gas now.

About 6 weeks ago I noticed my car was running low on oil despite my mechanic servicing it recently, what got me looking was that the oil temp gauge took a long time to rise in temperature, so I took it to the mechanic I had took my prior VE omega serviced to & checked the oil stick it was very low, so he put a bit of oil in it. I still noticed the temp gauge wasn't moving and checked it again and it was only slightly above the last reading, I then drove my car to the closest servo, the only oil they had was shell helix fully synthetic 5w-30w, which I filled the engine up to where it is in the middle of the operating range on the stick.

I'm having the shell switched for Mobil 1 tomorrow which is what I should run (the servo didn't have any), however is the Royal Purple I have read about better?

I also have a ticking noise from the motor when it is running on petrol & gas, I've asked/demonstrated several workshops about this and they all say that this is normal for the injectors with big horsepower. Is this bullshit?

I am extremely pedantic about my car since my last mechanic which I will not mention ####ed it after I took it to him for a radiator leak and he said it was okay to drive as long as I checked the water in the radiator for the 2 days required for him to get the radiator in stock. Of course the hose blew off the radiator and I noticed the temp gauge through the roof the next afternoon (prior to dash light coming on) and immediately pulled over and stopped the engine. Heads were warped apparently, so I had the cam fitted at the same time that they where replaced $8,000 latter (did I get ripped off? cam was $800 supplied). Same mechanic fitted new rotors and padsa at $2,500, 20km latter front rotors are ####ed due to seized calipers so took it to peddlers locally that replaced the suspension, calipers not ####ed they didn't fit them properly some how Pedders fitted new front rotors for another $1,000.

I've decided to have my car towed down to Townsville to be tuned by by TSM Townsville Mechanical Services - Home Page (what should this cost from Cairns?) to be tuned and all problems fixed. I'm not happy I only went to the local performance shop here as I wanted to supported locals despite only hearing mixed things about them. I know a bloke that has a 427 and has recommended TSM, so unless anyone has another recommendation off I go.
