DTC been popping up over the past month, mechanic, thinks its related with the throttle not aligning with the computer or so. I thought i could do the simple stuff like clean the throttle check for any wiring issues i can see.
A few hours later, doing 40-50km the car started heavy down shifting when i pressed on the brake, engine light, dash lights and radio flashing, my rpm was going crazy, even though my engine wasn't revving, stability turning off etc! Pulled to the side, turned the car off. Waited about 10 mins or so started it back up it drove like normal :/
I knew crap batteries can cause issue's, So pulled the battery out for a few hours and stuck it on charge. Didnt work check engine light back on after a few drives.
My transmission is likely due for a service would that help fix the issue? I notice the DTC notes says the TCM may need replacing? Reading around I see its inside the transmission for 5 Speedd Auto? Is this a big job?
Could the revhigh throttle controller i had installed cause this issue? I removed it couple weeks ago to see if it was the issue.
P0008 also appeared, I have had my chains / guides replaced last year, and its been driving great since. Although startups overnight can sound shady for say 2-3 seconds max while oil pressure rises. Can a chain issue cause this? or can this DTC cause a P0008?
Me mechanic recommends to take to his auto electrical guy and get the parameters all reset to normal incase they are out of sync and updated, who can also do the latest Chains Parameter's.
Any Thoughts?
