Hi guys I'm new to this page so I'm not sure where this will end up being posted but I need some help.
I have a Toyota hilux with a series 1 commodore v6 in it. When I bought it it had a blown head gasket and it was running really rough so I replaced the gaskets thinking that was the problem and dropped the motor back in hoping all would be well again.. But its still running exactly the same as it was.. When you start it, it will idle really badly like its missing then after maybe 10 seconds it will usually smooth out and start idling nicely, but if you leave it idling it will die down and cut out after maybe a minute or two. When I give it a good rev it starts popping and backfiring blowing out black and sometimes a bit of bluey smoke. When I try to take it around the block I can barely make it around the corner because it runs so rough! Every time I try to drive it it will pop, snap, buck and drive really rough.. Or sometimes when you give it a dose on the right foot it will cause the engine to die out like its starving for fuel? I have put a brand new o2 sensor in but the only noticeable change it made is now its now throwing as much black smoke out.. I'm not sure what's going on? Someone help
