Hey guys is this a good option? Or should i find something else.

First car resto and almost started... picked up a nice blue 308 that came out of an 84 WB statesman and was recently reconditioned. Just needs an intake manifold and carb.

I am currently looking at an 81 6cyl auto VC wagon that is for sale and i will drop the 308 into. The wagon itself is pretty tidy with very minimal rust.

Is this a decent combo? What mods would i have to do to get the 308 into the VC wagon besides upgrading the rear to disc brakes? Will the gearbox and diff etc be ok?

Thanks for any advice. First builds are always the hardest and a bloke has to start somewhere right?
