Hello All
I have an issue with the ECU on my 2005 Berlina VZ (called Lumina LTZ in UAE), agency quoted about a $1200 for a new part, after discount I might get it for about $1000.
The part no of the faulty ECU on the car is 92175386 and replacement part number I was quoted by GM is 12600940. A quick check on ebay/internet, and I can find several of these(12600940) for less than $400, apparently the same part (12600940) is also used on Cadillac STS in the USA.
Now the question, can I get the ECU with the same part number (12600940) as quoted by the local GM agency, from the USA, and use it on the Holden made Berlina VZ? I understand programming is required, and I can get that done.
Any help/thoughts appreciated.
