I currently have a 1999 VT LS1 Calais HBD. During start up in the morning the car idles badly. The revs fluctuate between 1000 and around 500 and almost sounds like its cammed. The car also shakes while warming up. I have to wait until the car is warmed up and these symptoms reduce. What could be causing this. Furthermore if you don't let the car warm up and drive it and push it a bit a check engine light appears. It only happens in the mornings on cold starts if I were to start it in the afternoon after some hours of it not driving it does do it. Anyone had these problems? Ive cleaned the MAF sensor.
My second problem is the gearbox. This is only an example but when I'm at the lights and if i were to put it in Neutral and put it back into Drive the car jolts this only happens while the car is stationary If i were to slip it in neutral while cruising and put it back it would not happen. What could also be causing this. Thanks in advance (If you need a video of the car while idling for the first problem let me know)
