Now I did do a few searches on this topic before posting this question, 'cause I know it's like asking how long a piece of string is.... so hear me out a little.. I have owned a stock standard, ie manual window winders, VX for a few years now, and loving it, first Holden I have ever owned... and a mate crashed his VY Berlina auto into a tree. Now I reckon I can buy the wreck off him for parts, as I suspect that there would be alot of interchangeable parts I could use.
Now, from the searches i did on the forum I know I can use the electric windows guts as a straight bolt in, the wheels are no worries, we both have wagons so I am guessing the hatch would fir as well, as well as most of the interior.
So the real question is, while I am only assuming most parts will be interchangeable between a VY will go onto a VX, what parts are no match at all? Is the car worth me getting? If I can use most parts, I will buy it, but not if I can only grab a few things...
