Need to change auto lines VQ 5ltr

Auto lines are leaking onto exhaust creating a lot of smoke when driving, i pickup a second hand pair and now wanting to install them this weekend but wondering if they is an easy way to get it done, looks to me like its going to be a huge pain in the ass job, i remember trying to remove these on a ecotec for manual conversion with a mate 4 years ago, had to use cutters and all sorts to get them out.
