Been in Europe for last 5 weeks (3 to go). Very much missing my car!! Have hired a campervan and have done a few countries including Germany and Switzerland. Every man and his dog has an Audi or BMW. Is like Fords and Holdens in Oz. The Autobahn in Germany is a hoot....managed to squeeze 160kmh out of the camper yesterday and ppl just hammering passed at 180+. WE SHOULD HAVE OPEN SPEED LIMITS IN OZ!!!!! The Autobahns are no bigger or any safer than our roads...is a joke that we have such massive distances to drive in Oz and stupid nanny state rules.
Lots of fabulous twisty roads in Switzerland and heaps of tunnels. Drove through a 17km tunnel yesterday. Being most cars hear seem to be diesel would be fabulous listening to the Commo growl through these. Also give them BMWS and Audis a hurry up.
