Hi all,
After a regular urban journey with the engine at normal operating temperature I notice a burning oil smell when I get out of the car - not noticeable while driving.
Series 2 V6 205,000 kays serviced every 5000-10,000 since new.
Uses about 200ml of oil every 5000 kays - to be expected for an engine of this age.
Absolutely no leaks - engine starts first time every time & runs perfectly.
Run on Pentrite 10W-30 for the last 100,000 kays - oil changed a week ago & degreased all spills - smell is still there.
Could this be a crankcase ventilation issue?
Thanks in advance.
